Concerts in the Park

Carpenter Park, July 26, 7-8:30 PM

Dust off those dancing shoes. Throughout the summer, music fans gather at Carpenter Park to enjoy free concerts by beloved regional bands, who are guaranteed to bring you to your feet. You’re welcome to pack a picnic or enjoy food and beverages for purchase by the Dundee Township Lion’s Club.

Want to get a jumpstart on the 4th of July? In late June head to Meadowdale Park/Shopping Center for a family-friendly concert followed by an exciting fireworks display - a celebration of summer with a BOOM!

Movies in the Park

Carpenter Park, August 9, 5-10 PM

Co-hosted by H2O Church, Movie in the Park is a free movie series featuring family-friendly films. During the summer months, families bring their blankets, chairs, and picnics to Carpenter Park to enjoy screenings of kid classics under the stars.

Dolphin Cove Family Aquatic Center

Splash away the summer heat at Dolphin Cove Family Aquatic Center. In addition to water slides, interactive water play, geysers, a beach area, and jungle gym, Dolphin Cove offers family-friendly events throughout the summer. Pools are also available to rent for those looking to host the ultimate pool party.

National Night Out

Village Hall, August 6, 5-8 PM

Every August neighbors are invited to come out and meet Carpentersville law enforcement in an effort to connect and build on the village’s sense of community. This free event is an opportunity to connect with the police and help keep Carpentersville a safe place to be.

Town Holiday Lights

"Light Up Carpentersville"

The annual Holiday Lighting Contest is what Clark W. Griswold’s dreams are made of: in fact there’s a prize named in his honor. Each December, Carpentersville residents break out the tinsel, unknot the lights and join together in a friendly and festive competition. The result is a magical holiday experience the whole family will enjoy.


Odd Fellows Music Festival

Odd Fellows Rock the Fox Music Fest

Carpenter Park, August 2-4

Get ready to rock at the annual Fox Music Fest in Carpenter Park. This admission-free three-day event takes place in August and is packed with fun for all ages. Guests will enjoy outstanding musical performances, carnival rides, an array of food vendors, and many other family-focused activities.


Carpenter Park, August 17, noon–11 PM

In August local burger masters descend upon Carpentersville vying for the coveted honor of being named Best Burger in the Fox Valley. Foodies are invited to sample the patty-making skills of area eateries and even help crown the winner.

El Grito Celebration

El Grito

This annual parade and festival takes place each September and is a celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Co-hosted by the Village and the Carpentersville Family Resource Center, this is an admission-free event featuring entertainment and food honoring the Latino culture that is woven into the fabric of our diverse community.

Fall Fest

Carpenter Park, September 28, 10–3 PM

If apple-picking isn’t your idea of fall fun, then look no further than Carpentersville’s annual Fall Fest. From pumpkin decorating to hayrides, bounce houses and more - your kids are sure to have a good time. Adults will also enjoy activities like live music, a craft fair, appetizing food and a sip (or two) from the beer tent. The festival takes place in late September in Carpenter Park.

Civil War Reenactment Event

Civil War Reenactment

Carpenter Park, October 3-6, 11-4 PM

Want to experience a little 1860s history? Head to Carpenter Park for the annual Civil War Reenactment hosted by Stanford's Battery, a Chicago-area nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the country's Civil War history. Participants are meticulously outfitted in authentic and historically accurate attire. This is a three-day event will include 300 military and civilian reenactors with horses, cannons, medical displays. Historic instruments will also be featured in this action-packed weekend.
